Editorial principles, ethical standards, and publication policies governing manuscripts submitted to the Sarawak Journal of Pharmacy.
These guidelines are in accordance with the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Sarawak Journal of Pharmacy employs a plagiarism detection system. By submitting a manuscript to the Journal, authors acknowledge and accept that their work may be screened for plagiarism.
All submissions are considered at the discretion of the Editorial Office. Manuscripts accepted for publication may be subject to editorial revision to improve clarity, structure, and compliance with journal standards.
Editorial decisions are based on the following criteria:
Submissions from Editors or Editorial Board members are evaluated using the same editorial and peer review standards applied to all authors.
All manuscripts submitted to the Sarawak Journal of Pharmacy undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine suitability for peer review. This assessment considers journal scope, ethical compliance, and basic methodological soundness.
Manuscripts deemed suitable may be sent for peer review. Final decisions regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection rest with the Editorial Office.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must provide a conflict of interest statement at submission,
disclosing any financial or personal relationships that could influence
their work, or stating explicitly that no conflicts exist.
Ethical Approval
Original research involving human participants or animals must include
details of ethical approval, including:
Informed Consent
Identifying information of patients or participants must be omitted.
Where identification is essential for scientific purposes, written
informed consent must be obtained and declared upon submission.
Originality
Manuscripts are considered on the condition that they have not been
published previously, are not under consideration elsewhere, and are
not simultaneously submitted to another journal.
Plagiarism is not acceptable in submissions to the Sarawak Journal of Pharmacy. The Journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software, including Turnitin. Where potential issues are identified, further investigation will be conducted and appropriate action taken.
